What are the issues that a Product Designer will have to consider when designing products in the future?

I think the issues that a Product Designer will have to consider are;
1. USING THE WORLD'S NATURAL RESOURCES
2. THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS TO PRODUCE DESIGNS
3. MORAL ISSUES

1. When using the world's natural resources, a Product Designer will have to consider, is this design worth making? If you're using a certain material, what is the availability of it? Packaging for example, even if the product is worth having, the packaging for the product could be a waste. (e.g. M&S Sandwiches, Kenco etc)

2. How are these products being manufactured? Are they mass-produced in a factory? if so, then are people getting jobs to operate these machines? Are you using third-world countries to make these products? if so, then is it fair trade?

3. Finally the moral issue, does your product have any negative effects? i.e. effecting the environment or using third-world countries, if so, can you sleep at night? (probably yes)
